This experience is open to anyone curious about deepening their connection to mindful, intentional rest and relaxation. SOFTENING offers 5.5 CEUs for yoga teachers registered with Yoga Alliance.

Rest is our birthright, something we are worthy of just by existing. It is as much a necessity to our wellbeing as food and water. We all deserve to feel soft, open, relaxed, and at ease. If you are interested in learning how to cultivate an environment conducive to rest for yourself and/or others, we invite you to partake in this informative and peaceful day.

We will spend time aligning to our own relaxation and sacred softness, and we will learn about postures, props, the nervous system, the history of Restorative Yoga, and more. We will practice meditation, pranayama breathing techniques, setting up postures and assisting each other in the poses. We will close training with an hour-long restorative practice to integrate all that was learned. Time for reflection, self-care, and refueling with healthy snacks will be included in our time together. A journal may be useful to record information and insights.
